Villa de Zaragoza

The staff I met were kind, friendly & honest. No hot water in my room except for the shower. Its quiet. Much of the small cable package they offer had poor quality reception. Their English was much better than my Spanish, but you're limited to keeping things very simple. My main disappointment came as I was checking out after an extended stay I was approached by the owner, who was something of a hothead. He complained about the condition of the room. I may not be perfect, but I've stayed in dozens of motels & hotels & was never subjected to such a hostile rant. He hit me up for $100, & being an American with a cab waiting I didn't want to get into it & went along with this minor extortion.

The outside looks a little dated but the deluxe rooms are nice and clean. Staff was nice and they have security at night patrolling the parking lot. There is plenty of shopping, Food and entertainment in walking distance. Only bad thing is the beds are rock hard! Parking can be a bit of a challenge and they don’t have a plan for overflow.

This is such a great place for the money! Go upstairs and Jose will be your bartender and his lovely wife will make you some amazing marlin tacos! Cash only though, we thought we were going to run out of money! Bring $15 cash for the deposit on the remote and keys. You will get it back at checkout.
