We stayed 2 nights in this hotel converted from an old colonial house. Very convenient for visiting the city center, the rooms are rustic: roof and wooden floor, bathroom furnished with typical tiles. Breakfast is simple but very good, especially the pancakes.

We stayed two nights here. I don’t have much to add from my own pictures to the pictures already available, though it’s so classic and elegant I was moved to take pictures. The rooms are excellent with fine lighting, electricity and shower. The bed was comfortable and there were extra blankets, pillows and a space heater we didn’t need. We had some liquor and wanted to make our own drinks, so we requested ice at the front desk. They brought it over promptly from the restaurant. It’s true that the associated restaurant is not within the hotel but 100 feet away across the street. We had a dinner and 2 breakfasts there and things were delicious and well priced. The wine was good, from Baja California (possibly not up to French standards, but what is?). The sweetness and graciousness of the personnel , though, dominated our experience. They were all eager to help and explain anything. They arranged a car to pick us up at the hotel to go to the Tuxtla airport, after trying several possibilities for us. A smooth and comfortable delight, confirming once again the hospitable and caring nature of the Mexican personality.

Hotel built in a typical colonial structure in the center of San Cristobal. The common areas and the garden are cute, the receptionists young boys who work at the least worst. The room is old and spartan, bathroom with small sink in the room and the rest in a cramped room. Comfort there are few. The breakfast that you do in a partner restaurant 100 meters away is nothing short of singular with are 7 proposals of complete menu to which you must adhere scrupulously , there are no exceptions .. for Europeans there are a couple of proposals there first and bread, butter and jam and the second is yogurt, cereals and fruit .. I believe that now San Cristobal has evolved but definitely not this structure that could have been characteristic twenty years ago.,
