Hotel Zafra canceled our reservation a week before the eclipse, leaving us with flights arriving and departing from Torreon, but without any option to find accommodation so close to the event - every room and flight within hundreds of kilometers of the eclipse path is booked. Changing the international flight at the last minute costs more than a thousand dollars. They left us in a terrible situation. We know the truth: they changed our early reservation to scam other customers with very expensive offers at the last minute. In any other situation this would have been a minor inconvenience, but in this situation, they ruined our experience in Torreon, costing us a fortune and tarnishing Torreon's reputation.
