El Tropicano

Decent and reasonable cost hotel. We came here for work and didn’t want an expensive hotel. It is clean though oldish. Has a nice pool and tropical flavor. Staff is friendly. Its location is perfect since is in Acapulco main avenue. If you are not looking for a new and luxurious hotel and don’t want to spend too much, this is a nice alternative. Air conditioning and WiFi are good.

The first 2 nights we did not have a nice view, we were facing the back of the hotel. We asked the management to change our room for a view of the pool, which they did for a little extra money. It was much nicer. There is a nice beach just across the street, but we stayed at the pool most of the time. Staff was friendly. The food is good at the hotel. Our last day we went to the restaurant where the cliff divers jump. Very nice restaurant. We made friends that were also from Ottawa, Canada. Along the main strip there is a lot of restaurants which are also good.

Staff is great, working on making things better. New beds & tvs this year. Always there to fix what needs to be fixed. Cant say enough about the staff and management. Most speak fluent english and will take the time to help you with your spanish. Makes you feel like family!!
