Fairmont Acapulco Princess

Our experience at the Hotel Princess Acapulco was very far from meeting the expectations one has for a hotel of this category. From our arrival, the check-in process was extremely deficient. We had to wait approximately one hour to be able to get our room. Another aspect that gave us a very bad impression was the situation of the lounge chairs on the beach. Most remained set aside by hotel staff and it was never clear under what criteria they were assigned; it was totally discretionary. On Saturday, we waited around 40 minutes for a table to be assigned to us for breakfast, which again evidenced a lack of organization and capacity to meet guest demand. Overall, these inconveniences made our stay an experience very far from what we expected.

We tried to go out for a walk on the beach at 7:30 pm, and an employee prevented us from leaving the hotel premises, as he said that due to policies it was forbidden to leave the hotel after 29 hours, which is illegal since they cannot restrict or prohibit anyone's free movement; the use of facilities within the hotel may be restricted, but never the ability to go out for a walk in a public space like the beach. In short, they commit a crime every time they restrict guests from leaving; they are exposed to criminal complaints.
