Las Brisas Acapulco

A hotel from the golden age of Acapulco, with excellent view, location, and service. Many celebrities have visited the hotel and left their marks on it (literally).

I wish I had a better experience than what I had. First, check in was great and staff nice and attentive off the bat. My issues are with the rooms. First night we checked in we had turned on or AC right away got ready and met up a group of friends for dinner. By the time we returned our room was filled with water covering the bed and floor from the AC. We quickly called the front desk which then led us to packing up and moving rooms around 1AM. They upgraded us to a bigger room but the view was not as nice as the previous one. The second day after returning from the beach club we couldn’t access our room because the key pad was out of battery which led us to waiting on a battery change to enter the room to get ready for a wedding we were attending. All in all our bad experiences were strictly to the rooms but staff again very friendly and accommodating.

Untrained staff; at check-in, they did not know that breakfast was included in my reservation. Room full of ants, empty cleaning products, and they arrived to clean one of the days of my stay at 4 PM. 45 minutes waiting for transportation from the restaurant to my room. At the beach club, the pool was visibly dirty, and a young lady responded that it is normal, as leaves fall. At the restaurant on my last day of stay, they took our order, and 15 minutes later a gentleman at another table ordered, had breakfast, and left, while we had not been served. Then they serve everything together and cold. When I told the waiter what was happening, his response was, "I did not take your order" (just like the hostess Guadalupe. The day I told her we had been waiting for more than half an hour, her automatic response was: "You saw that I marked it"). We requested the presence of a manager, but he was in a briefing. This was my fourth stay (my wife had been going for 10 years). Last year we did not go because, jokingly, we calculated that staying with you costs the same as going to Las Vegas. This year we went, and what a surprise. The issue of prices is another discussion and is not my complaint, but if you are going to lower the quality of your service so noticeably, your prices no longer correspond, nor does your magnificent view of the bay justify your poor service. Your jeeps that are over 16 years old are also another topic. It is clear to me that we are just customers, that for you losing a couple is nothing, and that the bad recommendations we will give from now on about your once great hotel are also not important to you.
