Hotel Danza del Sol

A really mixed experience. The suite we had was quite large, so that's nice. But they are somewhat bare, dusty, and neglected-feeling? Like: there was a living room with a couch, but no throw pillows, no knick-knacks, no decoration on the walls. We had a suite with a kitchen, but the stove did not work AT ALL, there was no microwave or anything, it was really old and seemed dirty, very very little kitchen stuff. So don't plan on cooking. The fridge did work, so that was good. Wifi was okay but not great. There was a pretty patio that overlooked the pool, but there was no furniture out there so you could not sit? We never saw ANY staff people. The person who checked us in was not at all interested in talking to us or helping us with ANYTHING. The power went out while we staying there! And it was not the end of the world, but: there were no candles or lanterns or anything in the room. And they did not have anything like that at the front desk, either. They did not know anything about why the power was out, or when it would return. So we sat in the dark without any understanding. So if you know Ajijic and speak fluent Spanish and can generally fend for yourself, have a car, etc? This might be an okay place for you. If you want the support that a hotel usually offers, I'd skip this place.

We stayed two nights three days, and it was really cozy and a fabulous break! The whole place loved it, delicious breakfast!

First time we go and have a great time. It really rests. The whole family very happy. We will certainly return
