City Express Expo Guadalajara

I would not book another stay again with city express plus hotels. In short, the hotel is not worth the price for what you get. The lounge smells like used cooking oil, the restrooms reek of urine, and my room had its A/C system malfunctioning. From the moment we entered our room we were hit with a wave of warm air. Hotter than outside. We figured the A/C had been off for a while so we turned it on and let it do its job. And then the room got hotter. And hotter. The maintenance staff kept us waiting for over 40 minutes to wait for a supposed "system restart" to take effect and let our room's A/C unit start doing its job, but instead the chiller began pouring out scorchingly hot 30-ish degree (Celsius) air. I called the staff once again (through the room phone) and were ignored. Thrice. I had to go to the lobby and talk with the receptionist to actually get help. Then they ignored us for another 10 minutes and their only solution was to restart the A/C system again. As you would expect, it did not work. We had to pack everything up and go back down to the lobby to see how long we'd have to be ignored before we actually got decent service, and as it turns out, all it took was to see all of us sit for more 15 minutes in the lobby before they considered giving us a non-heatstroke-inducing room!

Total disappointment, far below expectation and the usual in hotels in the Marriot chain, starting with the room, I thought that the hardest thing in my life had been the departure of my grandmother until I tried her mattresses , mattresses of very low quality as well as the pillows, if you want a pain in the back and neck , here comes included , the same with the shower with low pressure and a curtain (because they did not bother to put door in the shower; then comes the expected continental breakfast where neither of the two coffee makers served (which incidentally they tell you "there is ice machine and coffee 24 hours and coincidentally neither works") even there were very few guests we had to patronize each other because there was not enough food and we had to share the envelope of Nescafé that was to the most that one could aspire to have coffee ... Anyway, I rated with two stars and not one because the price was economical, but having known how to pay 200 pesos more per night; save the bad experience, it is more expensive the consultation with the Chiropractor for back pain, gastro for stomach pain and liver pain of doing so much courage

The air conditioning is not good. Super old minisplits. Room too warm. Hulen mal. Even coffee tastes lousy. They only offer you fruit and yogurt for breakfast. Water doesn't come out under pressure. Very bad service. It's not worth it. Too expensive for what they offer
