Hotel Mexico Plaza Guadalajara Puerta de Hierro

I was hoping for a better experience, but it was the worst hotel I've stayed in in a long time. The air conditioning was not working, the Internet was unstable and practically impossible to use for work, and the carpets were stained with something that looked like paint. The whole place shows a great lack of maintenance. I reported the problems to the night manager, who offered to change me to another hotel in the same chain or refund my money, but neither promise was kept. I had cancelled a reservation at another, supposedly lower-class hotel in the chain to stay here, and it was a complete disappointment. I would not return or recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable or professional stay.

Terrible maintenance planning by management, dust and mess everywhere, very expensive parking

What a horrible experience! I booked 2 rooms in March for a September stay for my niece's wedding (she had reserved with Wyndham and had a block for her guests) and received a confirmation in March as well as 2 days prior to my stay. We showed up and they said they had no reservation for us. They ended up giving us 2 rooms but said they had to take them away from the guests coming in the next day. They simply explained that a confirmation number is not a guarantee for a room and that the Wyndham computer software did not communicate with their computers. The next day, many more showed up and they were told they had no rooms even though they all had confirmation numbers. The first lady we spoke to did not care whatsoever that she had about 30 guests in the lobby - some of them stayed for 6 hours trying to find other hotels (picture I've attached is only half of the room and there were more guests on the other side). The next lady we spoke to was better but ultimately offered no overtures with any of the guests that didn't get rooms Fast forward to today, I see that my credit card charge was approximately 22 dollars more than the receipt they gave me at check out. I called today and they said that they can't control what the bank does of the conversion. I recommended they remove the line on their receipt that has, "USD dollars on there" and they laughed. Horrible experience. Never again will we stay with Wyndham.
