Hotel Villa del Sol

Hotel del Sol Expo Guadalajara Mexico Do not stay here. Horrible, bathrooms super grungy, poor lighting, shower door from 1960, walls so thin you can hear the neighbor’s TV perfectly, laminate floors buckled with mildew underneath. We were moved to a second room and the toilet leaked. Moved to a third room and it was equally a bit better. The price is outrageous for the value. They did not even include even a paper cup and only one tiny bottle of water a day for two people. The web photos are a lie. One staff member was excellent, Alma. The rest could care less. We finally left despite the fact that they would not let us cancel early.

Excellent location, very friendly reception staff, clean rooms and the place is safe. Highly recommended for Expo Guadalajara attendees, it is a couple of blocks away. The rooms have everything you need, a dryer and an ironing donkey.

Similar prices to other hotels around the area but this is the only one where I felt like I was getting more than I paid for. A good, clean place with friendly staff. Breakfast leaves much to be desired, but better than nothing. I just booked a reservation again. Surprised this place has low star rating. It's better than others nearby with more stars. Even the wifi signal in my room was great.
