Camino Real Santa Fe Mexico

The hotel has an excellent location. However, it lacks many details to become a true Barceló hotel. At the time of check-in, they did not recognize my MyBarceló Unique benefits, nor did they even mention them. The rooms are in poor condition and remain completely those of a Camino Real. Purple carpets, VERY low beds, old bathroom. Only two body towels and one hand towel, when at Reforma they provide body, hand, face, and bath mat (super important for when you get out of the shower). The restaurant and Room Service are still Camino Real; I really missed the variety that Barceló Reforma or other Barceló hotels offer you, especially the service in the restaurants: in every city Barceló hotel I have been to, the restaurant has a hostess who takes you to your table, they serve you still water in your glass without asking you, and the waiters are attentive; here, no hostess, no water, and you had to call them 2-3 times for them to bring you coffee again. The Room Service lacks variety, is very expensive, and has nothing to do with Barceló Reforma, Barceló Emperatriz, or Barceló Torre de Madrid, which are far superior to this one. Finally, the lobby bars in Reforma and Madrid have a lot of variety in drinks, food, and very comfortable furniture where you can spend hours at the bar. Here the furniture is uncomfortable, you sit down and nobody helps you, you have to go to the bar to get served, and it is nothing compared to the true Barceló hotels, both for the Lobby bar and the Buddha bar, which has a lot of potential and remains just an average Camino Real bar. I make these comments not as a complaint, but because as someone who is loyal to this chain and likes it a lot, I would like this hotel to also be a true Barceló on par with its sister hotels, not just a Camino Real with another name.
