Mansion Real Morelia, Hotel & Suites

It is a very nice hotel. It is elegant, the staff's service is excellent. The food at the Casa Ofelia restaurant, which is inside the hotel, is delicious and offers exclusive flavor combinations that are on the edge of what is traditionally Michoacán and what is novel. The coffee, by the way, is exquisite. It is not possible to say that the hotel is quiet because it is located in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Madero Avenue, but that is what it is like to stay at any hotel with that location.

You wont sleep. I have stayed in many different hotles in Morelia, a city I love. On march 2026 I stayed at Hotel Herencia in room 206, which faces the street. I didn't sleep a wink. It was as loud as sleeping by a sidewalk. The sound of cars, trucks and motorcycles passing by the window is terrible. I had a pair of ear-plugs with me, (the hotel doesn't provide aby) but they were not nearly enough to deafen the noise. On the other side of the room, above the door which opens to a courtyard, there is a window without a curtain, right in front of a really bright light that shines into your room all night long. The hotel doesn't offer courtesy water, so, if you're thisty you have to pay for a bottle of water that's place in a make-shift "mini-bar" (plastic shoe box). The building is beautiful, so I recomend you visit during day time. But if you want a good night's rest, this is definitely not the place (maybe the back rooms are better).

The rooms are not soundproofed, the noise is horrible, from discotheques and cars. We complained the next day at the reception and they didn't even apologize, we will never return, the staff's treatment was totally indifferent, they didn't even apologize to us, we had three rooms located in different areas of the hotel and we all suffered from the same problem, a lot of noise
