Taheima Condominios

Taheima condos are part of what used to be an all inclusive resort. The units are now privately owned and part of the giant Paradise Village compound. The units range from studios to three-bedroom units with rooftop patios. If you are planning to stay you should know that all the studio and one bedroom units have very limited counter space and and cooking facilities. You will have a two element counter top hotplate and a microwave. If it's a basic unit with no upgrades you will have no laundry facilities nor are there any onsite. You may have only a bar fridge and a 24” TV. At the corners of the buildings there are somewhat larger one bedroom units. The grounds and pools are excellent in my opinion. The pools are huge and unheated, but fine for swimming when we were there in Nov/Dec. Iguanas, turtles and raccoons are everyday sights. There is a very good restaurant onsite with limited hours, and a staffed security gate. There are attractive inner courtyards in both buildings and elevators. The building front (facing west) overlooks the pools unless you are on the bottom floor where you have a very small private pool but zero views. On the east side are views of the golf course. Beach access is available at Playa Royal just a few blocks from the Jaguar gate. You pay either by the week or the month depending on how long your booking is and you can reserve beach palapas. Highly recommended for swimmers and beach lovers.

Great place for baby boomers if you do not need INTERNET! Very quiet, 12 minutes to beach, great pools and restaurant. Majority of guests are 50s to 80s so if you’re into partying this is not the place for your group ! If you need internet this is NOT the RESORT ! Otherwise it is a great resort.

We also as Canadian's were comfortable in renting from Urbane - but have totally been "taken" by Urbane & Al & Jennifer. There is no spa or resort. Condo's that are being offered for rent are uninhabitable! Totally unprofessional and a scam - "BEWARE" of who you rent from.
