Gardens and ocean accessibility is wonderful and the views are fantastic! Staff is very friendly. However, Rancho Banderas is poorly maintained while the new addition Marival Armony Resort gets all the funds for maintenance. Such things as sliding glass doors that are very old and not operating smoothly, refrigerator freezer not freezing, and furniture and décor at least 15 years old We were also excluded from basic activities since we did not purchase all inclusive. $200 resort fee is way out of line! It was for a bottle of water and coffee packet per day which you had to ask for! (some resort discounts also but we did not use them) The pools are quite nice and the location is great. You feel like they do not want timeshare visitors from Rancho Banderas on the property and that is why they do not maintain those units
