Hotel La Casa de Adobe

We stayed at Casa de Adobe in Oaxaca and it was genuinely a great hotel experiences. From check-in to check-out, the staff were consistently kind, attentive, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome — that warmth really sets this hotel apart. A couple of people to call out: Marian and Felipe at reception, but really everyone was great. Waiters for breakfast I’ve forgotten their names, but also massive appreciation. The property itself is clean, well-maintained, and relatively new, with beautiful touches of Spanish/colonial architecture throughout. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the mattress quality meant we slept better than we have at most hotels. The pool area was a great place to unwind between excursions into the city. Food was another highlight — the on-site restaurant serves excellent meals, breakfast is included, and they also offer lunch and dinner service, so we never had to leave the property to eat well. The one thing to know before booking: Casa de Adobe is not walkable to the historic centre of Oaxaca, so you’ll need a taxi each time you want to head into town. It didn’t bother us, and taxi fares are reasonable, but if you’re hoping to walk to the Zócalo or Santo Domingo, keep that in mind. For us, the tranquility and quality of the stay far outweighed the short taxi ride. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a peaceful, boutique-style stay with excellent service and don’t mind a quick cab ride into the city centre.

It is a very pleasant place for resting; the staff is very cordial and friendly. The facilities are very comfortable with a spacious room; the restaurant and bar area has a variety on the menu. The pool area is fine, but the water temperature could be better. I totally recommend it.
