Quinta Real Oaxaca

First of all, this hotel is even more beautiful than the photos. It is truly breathtaking. Great location very walkable to many sites and amazing restaurants. Miguel at the front desk helped up organize a private excursion to Monte Alban, and our tour guide Ricardo couldn't have been more wonderful. We also had amazing service with Carlos by the beautiful pool. The hotel breakfast was delicious and very high end - it's a fancy experience. My husband was ill one of the days we were there and the hotel was very comfortable for him while he wasn't feeling well. If we ever return to Oaxaca, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

By far, it is the best hotel in the City of Oaxaca; it is a former convent of Santa Catalina de Siena from the 16th century. The construction, paintings, and architecture are very valuable, so much so that it was declared a World Heritage Site. It is worth exploring and admiring every corner. It has all the comforts of a luxury hotel; perhaps the only downside is that it does not have an elevator, but it is only 2 floors. It has a relaxing pool and first-class service. The gastronomy of Oaxaca is so extensive and delicious that you can enjoy it at the hotel or by going out to the portals where there are thousands of options on every street of that beautiful historical center, which is, for me, one of the most beautiful in Mexico and also very safe for walking, visiting museums, churches, and shopping. Without a doubt, we will return; many thanks to Frédéric Lejars, the general manager of the hotel, for all his attentions in this wonderful and magical place. Recommendation if you go during the month of July for the Guelaguetza, book in advance.
