Real de Minas San Miguel Allende

A hotel with reasonable location, reasonable rooms, reasonable facilities, reasonable service. In my opinion, it is not excellent, but reasonable. I found it in bad taste that several of the services were costly: Football, pool table, parking, and I don't know what else. For the cost they should be included.

I went with my partner to San Miguel Allende and we decided to stay at this hotel (Real de Minas). We booked a junior suite to be more comfortable and our experience was TERRIBLE... Since we arrived it smelled like pipe, said smell came from the bathroom sinks, shower and sinks. We warned at reception that we were urgent to solve the problem because it was impossible to be there. We'd be out of the room all day and they had enough time to do it. We were told that it was impossible to relocate to another room due to availability issues but that they would solve it. When we returned late we were surprised that the smell was still and there was nothing to do. I paid for a suite and what I got was a public bathroom. Fatal, I'm not staying there again.

Enjoyed two nights stay at this fine hotel, as part of a tour. We found Real de Minas San Miguel de Allende excellent in every way: comfortable room, delicious buffet with superb service; beautiful, old-style hotel with expansive, attractive grounds; perfect location in the heart of the old town center. This hotel has it all. Highly recommended.
