Disappointing stay despite beautiful grounds I stayed at the Hotel La Venta in San Juan del Río and was disappointed overall. The hacienda itself is beautiful, and the rooms are attractively designed and very clean. Unfortunately, that was the case with the positive aspects. The biggest problem is noise. The hotel is located directly on a main road and an expressway, so it is practically noisy around the clock. In addition, the rooms are extremely clairvoyant, so you can hear even the smallest noises from the neighboring rooms. Restful sleep? Misrepresentation! Another big annoyance is the use of leaf blowers. Cleaning staff start cleaning the gardens as early as seven in the morning – unfortunately with deafening noise. A relaxed wake-up or even a sleep-in is unthinkable. The biggest downside, however, is the restaurant at breakfast. The food is good quality, but the service is a disaster. No waiter speaks a foreign language, and it seems like no one really listens. Not once was the order served correctly. In addition, even at breakfast you are disturbed by the deafening leaf blowers. Conclusion: Hotel La Venta has a lot of potential, but is made unattractive by the massive noise and poor service in the restaurant. Those who value peace and quiet and good service should look for an alternative.

The hotel is very nice, the rooms although old are fine, we didn't need anything and everything worked well, but if we read on their page that the pool was air conditioned and it wasn't, we arrived on Friday and were told. It only weathered on weekends and it wasn't true... the Unwilling but friendly staff, would come back but if it's totally to rest Going to San Juan del Río is very close only 10’min from the center
