Be Live Viva Beach

Special Anniversary trip for us. The decor was beautiful! Staff was sooo nice & helpful. A smile from every single person on every encounter & a "It's a pleasure" each time. We felt very welcomed & cared for. Our room was perfect for us! In fact, we'd like the same room # next time - perfect location on property for our needs. The preferred club was definitely worth the extra cost - that Infinity Pool was so much cooler than the other pools - so refreshing! Lots of shade in the pool, too. A much needed relief from the heat. We loved it all! And the housekeeping is top notch - so clean every day! The restaurants offered a delicious variety of foods all day! We will be back!

Stayed a week at this hotel. The beach is wonderful, it has changed over the years as erosion has claimed a lot of the coast line but it's still a waist deep ocean water beach and is inviting and overall safe. The kind of water you can spend the whole day in if skin allows. Staff go above and beyond. Very friendly and lovely. Buffet food is excellent. Keep in mind that you'll find more local flavour profiles in it. Lots of traditional Mexican options that have been toned down for the audience but are still delicious. Lots of options too so there was always something for everyone. The ice cream at Coco Cafe was top quality and truly a highlight. Rooms do need some love. This was our first time staying in preferred and to be honest, I would recommend spending that money in ensuring your room does not have a connecting door to another room. This is because the doors carry sound exceptionally well and have no sound proofing. We were able to overhear absolutely everything happening in the room next door. From parents yelling at their young children, to what movie they were watching, to any conversation spoken above a whisper. If you don't want to spend your vacation at the mercy of your neighbors, spend that money in ensuring so. Also, the mattresses need replacing. They've reached their end of life.

We love Dreams Sands for the location in the Hotel Zone. This resort is perfect for a week getaway. They are geared more toward families, but it is still good for just couples too. My only feedback is that they should offer an adults only pool.
