Hotel Turquesa Maya

The hotel is old and dumpy. The shower is hot and the room clean. It is bare bones. No closet, nowhere to put your stuff. No shelf in the bathroom. I have nothing else worth saying. There was the smell of sewer gas in the bathroom. T put a towel over the drain. No tower racks either.

First of all, I must say that we did not choose this Pension, our Reservation was for another Pension that had not existed for several months. So the Turkish Mayan Pension has resumed our Reservation. Pros: the location. Cons: Narrow stairs which is complicated to mount suitcases. 1st bedroom: large but a window overlooking a wall, obligation to turn on the light and renovation work to be done. We're asking for a change. 2nd bedroom: bright, half as small. Limit bathroom, to be renovated. Breakfast included: toast, butter, coffee or tea jam, if you want something else, you have to pay ☹️ On sheets, there were small blood stains, really small and only 2 (following a cut and damaged nose), the manager told us that the sheets could no longer be used so she charged us 450 pesos 😡 Uh! cold water and soap, it goes but hey... Our sheets were not faultless and I wonder how this Pension washes its sheets and towels (not always white, damaged...not always clean what!) And finally, I am not talking about cleaning especially in the bathroom, in 3 weeks, not once the flow was cleaned and, the hair remained in the grid, "hidden" by the circle that covered the grid. I even took pictures after a few days until the end and it was, excuse me from the term "scumbag", it makes you wonder about this establishment. I know that Mexicans live a lot with tips but how to leave some if the work is not done properly????

Clean hotel, has the basics, towels, soap, shampoo, AA. Hot and cold water , rating the place where it is I loved it, for breakfast or lunch , a thousand times recommended Restaurant the chachalacas is a super complement , this on the way out heading for tulum, another very important thing the friendliness of the reception is greatly appreciated both the boy of the night and the girl of the morning are very very friendly very attentive .
