Holbox Suite

Our experience was terrible. We suffered theft of belongings (money) and, in addition, our bags were broken. This is compounded by multiple failures during the stay: there was no hot water, the wifi was not working, neither was the television and the safe was out of order. Absolutely a mess. The attention of the supposed “manager” was just as poor: an unpresentable person, unable to provide solutions. They would not show us the security cameras or offer any kind of response to what happened. The hotel is not up to its standard and, to make matters worse, the treatment received was disrespectful, with a mocking attitude towards us. Really, a horrible experience by both facilities and staff.

We went to celebrate my birthday and it was really disappointing, we understood that there was bad weather but the day we arrived despite being bad weather (cloudy, windy, cold and rainy) the rooftop was open, the next day it was sunny was closed and also the next and last day we were the same closed, when we arrived the receptionist although she tried to be friendly lacked warmth and seemed to be doing us a favor, she did not take the trouble to explain the services and tell us that they had a pool on the first floor (which we saw when we turned around in the taxi that took us to the dock) they do not have blankets or offer it to you even knowing that there was bad weather, the first day was the only one that we had hot water already for the rest of the stay nothing, there is a lady who was in the restaurant dark brown beach bar with an earring on her nose (I do not remember the name) I asked a question and I answer rudely and unwillingly, you also can not buy your beers or drinks with alcohol and drink them in YOUR room, it was really very disappointing and it was our last visit , very different treatment abroad, so if you look for a place where they value your money and treat you equally look elsewhere

Great location, ~15 minutes walk from town square. Laid back atmosphere with gracious, attentive staff. The grounds are lovely with many cute, boho touches sprinkled around. Wading pool is quaint; welcome on a hot day. Included breakfast plate with fruit and toast, coffee/tea is nice. Compared to other rooms, our room is due for updates: dingy paint, no art on the walls, no safe, no luggage rack, musty. Other rooms had wooden coat trees (great for drying damp items, keeping hats in reach). Housekeeping staff kept the room clean. Alma rooftop bar was great. I enjoyed the original cocktails. The view is amazing. Some find the pool cold - refreshing for me. Loud music bothered some in our group. Visiting Holbox during Dia de Los Muertos was amazing. Unfortunately, our timing was off for enjoying the beach much at our hotel. The odor of the sargassum made it difficult to remain in the area for very long on most days. Certainly no fault of the hotel.
