Pelicano Inn

Pelicano Inn is a beachfront, villa‑style hotel with a restaurant and bar facing the ocean and soft white sand. The open‑air lounge is great for working on your laptop, relaxing with music, chatting with friends, or simply enjoying the sea view. Staff at the restaurant, bar, and front desk are warm and accommodating, and the rooms are clean. Despite being close to busy 5th Avenue, the hotel stays quiet thanks to surrounding buildings, trees, and its gardened front yard that opens directly to the sea. It’s a good value for its affordability, and the stay includes a welcome drink and breakfast.

They are a disaster, very bad, with little ethics; they do not solve anything. I am very angry since I have been there several times, and when I asked them to resolve something, they did not. Playa del Carmen is getting uglier every time, and the seaweed does not help at all. I WILL NOT GO BACK; I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. THERE ARE MANY BETTER OPTIONS FOR LESS MONEY. THE PLACE IS HORRIBLE.

I didn’t actually stay at the hotel, but I did want to leave a rave review about the massage that they have available at this place. There is a sign on the beach that is right in front of the hotel. They will take you up to the rooftop and Daniel is a master masseuse. If you want a true deep tissue massage where, at times, if you feel like tapping out, this is the place for you. I had no idea how much tension I was holding in my neck and jaw - and my poor calves! It was well worth it. Daniel really needs to advertise. (He also does relaxation and other types, but for true sports massage enthusiasts, he’s hands down one of the best!
