Posada Mariposa Boutique Hotel

I don't recommend it to anyone, they go into the room at night and besides stealing money, you feel your safety and privacy outraged. A disgrace.

Very nice hotel, very central but surprisingly quiet, a stone's throw from the beach and the heart of the nightlife of Playa del Carmen. Friendly and helpful staff, especially the cleaning ladies, always attentive and precise: daily change of towels and provision of beach towels. In the room there is soap, shampoo, shower gel and hairdryer. We had booked a “suite”, but in reality it was a normal size room, still comfortable. The only weakness: breakfast served in a restaurant opposite. Little variety, many things considered extra, do not provide packet breakfast for those who leave early for excursions since it only starts at 7:30, so you miss it. In hindsight, it's better not to include her. Overall, recommended for location, cleanliness and kindness of the staff. Great base for experiencing Playa del Carmen.

The best is the location, in the fifth floor (main street and full of businesses and bars/restaurants). They didn’t work the elevator and it didn’t look like working in quite some time. We traveled with a lot of luggage and a 1 1/2-year-old baby and they didn't even make the money to help us put it up. Breakfast included is decent.
