The service and organization we received from the hotel were a bit disappointing. We traveled as a family looking for just 1 night, celebrating a birthday. Upon arrival, they indicated that they would not receive us in the lobby, but rather that we had to go to the parking lot and take the suitcases down to the lobby on our own to then take them to the room. During check-in, they could not find the reservation (we booked 2 rooms, 205 and 202); after 15 minutes, they gave us one room and mentioned they would give us the 2nd one in 1 hour. (Something we understood at first since it is the start of high season) The problem arises when, upon opening the room, we found another family in it; THEY GAVE US A ROOM THAT WAS ALREADY OCCUPIED! And with a look of shame we left and went back to the lobby. Being there, we gave the information they gave us and explained the bad time they made us go through; it was my sister-in-law who was handling the matter at the front desk, but upon seeing that the guys there basically left her talking to herself and started checking other things, I had to intervene. My immediate family has a high level on the Fiesta Rewards card and an Access membership for the "Fiesta" hotel chain (we have traveled several times with this chain), and it wasn't until I mentioned that I had these benefits that the service was provided in a cordial or friendly manner. I want to pause at this point to recognize the service of FERNANDO, one of the guys who was actually interested in knowing what I was experiencing at the hotel and helping to solve each of the problems. To continue adding problems, during the first room handover, I decided to watch part of the France vs. England game from outside the restaurant (from the lobby). And magically, of the 2 TVs I managed to see, they changed the programming of the TV that was just visible from the lobby (It could be a coincidence or not, but from my perspective, there was no request from another resident to change the game for a soap opera). And in room 202, the hair dryer stopped working, and it wasn't until someone gave it a couple of taps that it started working again. I leave with sadness from the experience at the Fiesta Inn Malecón hotel in Veracruz. Being the hotel chain with which I basically grew up and recommend every time someone asks for a hotel in any state. My mother-in-law is pissed off (and excuse the word but I cannot describe it any other way) and I am embarrassed because I was the one who convinced them to try the Fiesta hotel (They wanted to go to the Emporio Hotel).

On June 10, 2026, at 4 p.m., the hotel manager hostilely denied me access to a public area on the first floor despite identifying myself as a loyalty program member. Raúl Salazar Salinas
