Hotel Eclipse Merida

I stayed at this boutique hotel as a couple in August for 1 night. Hotel Casa Nova (formerly Hotel Eclipse) has had a recent renovation, so it is new, and it has secure parking just around the corner from the hotel. The staff was very sweet: they recommended a place for us to have breakfast, since it was not included in the rate, as well as other useful info about the city, and they even gave us a little extra time at check-out to pack our things calmly. Very kind! The room was very large, it's just a shame that the room smelled of humidity despite us being on a high floor. The shower worked well, complimentary toiletries and water, but the sheets were a bit stained and the cleaning was not very thorough. The area was quiet and the location central, with good value for money for one night.

Well located. Very basic facilities. The elevator is very loud and room 14 is very noisy because the elevator motor is right next door. Very pleasant service.

The worst experience, there were cockroaches, dirty towels, burnt bedspreads but the worst thing was that at midnight they tried to open the room door and hit the glass that looked like they were going to break it we talked to reception to be helped and they just told us they were going to check it but they no longer followed up or checked cameras, we could no longer sleep the 2 nights we had left
