Palais D'hotes Riad De Prestige

We stayed here for 2 nights, booked by our tour agent. This property is well past its prime; it could be a beautiful building but has been abandoned. Doors/cupboards don’t close properly, lights don’t work, curtain rails are broken, the roof terrace is run down. The view from the terrace was nice though. The staff on arrival were unprofessional in the way they dressed and demanded tips. I wouldn’t recommend solo females to stay here. There was never anyone around to help. The only nice staff member was the man who served breakfast. Our tour guide advised us that the location is on the edge of the rougher part of the medina.

Very nice place, it could be a superb riad except that it gives the impression of abandonment. The pool mosaics are undone, the lighting is not in focus, the terrace is not maintained. Plants are dead, etc. Friendly service, however no atmosphere, no life.
