Guynemer

Stayed here for one night after coming in from Essaouira with a flight out of Casablanca, Morocco the following day. We've stayed here in the past and the Guynemer is alright for a night. Easy to go out for a stroll (attention: only in the daytime) and some street food across the street (there was a place selling poulet au citron with full sides - frites, etc) In-house restaurant has live music. Full-on sounds of the street at 2-3 am, including locals speaking loudly in Darija, the local vernacular of Arabic. Full on, real deal Casa flava!

We found this hotel through Trip Advisor and made a reservation through booked.net. **Do not use this site.** The hotel manager claimed to not have any record of our reservation and said that they do not work with any travel websites except for hotelbeds.com. My impression was that he was in on the scam and was hoping we would pay again for our room since it was getting late at night. I should also mention that the rooms are disgusting and the one next to ours had a dead pigeon in it.

The rooms are old and really dirty. We found hair in the linen and the bathroom clearly had not been cleaned before our arrival. The neighborhood is not recommended, they themselves advised us not to leave the hotel after 11 pm. The breakfast is ok but I definitely would not reccomend this place to stay, not even for one night!
