Terrible hotel in every way. Bilingual staff (French - Darija), but can be understood in English. A Moroccan receptionist refused at all times to speak in French to facilitate communication, even though he knew the language. I asked him to please speak to me in French and he ignored that possibility. I will proceed to list the details of my experience.
- I stayed for almost two weeks and several days they did not clean my room; I would arrive and there were no towels and the room was like an oven in the middle of July. I asked the front desk and they paid no attention. One of the days, I arrived and had to sit in front of the elevators waiting until 7 in the evening for them to clean my room.
- The mini-fridge is a small piece of furniture with a glass door, but it doesn't cool. If you put a bottle of water in to keep it cool, it doesn't work.
- The air conditioning didn't work for two weeks, except for the last day when I complained for the umpteenth time.
- The pillows were yellow from traces of dirt and sweat.
- The bathtub in the bathroom had a lot of dirt and a huge layer of grime stuck to the bathtub enamel. It was clear that the bathtub was never cleaned. There was no bathtub stopper to prevent—I suppose—anyone from taking a bath.
-The shower water could not be regulated. Either you got burned or it came out cold.
-The bathroom and room lights were very, very dim, without proper lighting, the whole space was very dark.
-They told me on the first day that if I needed anything, I should call the front desk by dialing 9. I looked for the phone, and of course, there wasn't one. I asked for it twenty times and on the 21st they brought one up to me.
- I chose the hotel—if you can call it that—because of the photos, the spa, and the pool. The photos do not correspond to reality and the pool does not exist. I asked about the pool on the first day (it was July), they smiled and told me it was under construction.
- At breakfast, I asked for saccharin on the first day, they went to look for a container, and on the third day, they told me they had run out. I had to buy sweetener on my own so as not to get tangled up in more drama.
- I do not recommend it at all, unless you want to experience a depressing stay with shortcomings, dirt, and poor service. If you request something, they ignore you. You have to reiterate any service (towels, cleaning, etc.).
- The television does not broadcast any international programs, except for local soap operas and programs in Darija or Arabic. You do not have the option to listen to international news at any time on the television.
To top it off, at night, there is a venue on the ground floor of the building and the noise from the music is horrible, it rumbles throughout the building.
-I do not know why they gave it 4 stars. To me it is a dive. Everything very old, dirty and with an unprofessional mentality.

Always an ideal place to visit Casablanca, a stone's throw from the Moumen Diouri tram stop, between the Casa-Voyageurs train station and Bab Marrakech, the hotel located in Derb Omar has a particular character that fits perfectly with Casablanca's Art Deco, blending a certain luxury. Breakfast, with a varied buffet, is taken in a beautiful, cozy lounge decorated with taste. The rooms are spacious, with walk-in showers and comfortable king-size beds. The staff is friendly, both at the front desk with the professionalism of the receptionist "Othman," and at the restaurant. The hotel has a restaurant but also a lounge bar: a real challenge for this new team, which must raise the level of this establishment that has everything to please.

Old and not well kept. The front desk staff are nice. Yup should know that you only get 2 Bath towels, no hand towels or floor mat. It took me three days and a visit to housekeeping to get one. Rooms are ok with no chair. Breakfast is a joke by NA standards but may be the norm in Morocco. Ok value for the money.
