Hotel El Kennaria

The experience was really terrible. I went with my family for dinner and a few drinks on the rooftop. The staff were friendly with us because we spoke French, but at the table next to us there were some young people and they were very rude to them. They seemed very uncomfortable because of their behavior, and one of them even left the scene for a while crying. I spoke to one of them to understand what had happened, and he explained that the staff had made offensive remarks. I felt there was some discrimination. Even the service to them was very unpleasant. The food price was extremely high for a place with such poor service. I wouldn’t recommend it to people who come with friends because they might make you uncomfortable. There is no privacy to chat, as the waiters kept talking and bothering us.

During our stay in this riad with my family, the experience was excellent. The staff was very good from the start; several of them spoke Spanish, especially at reception, which made communication very easy. Also, everyone was very friendly and attentive. The rooms were spotless: very clean and with a pleasant smell of clean as soon as you entered. We were also offered a very helpful service when confirming the booking, as we were proposed to manage a taxi to pick us up at the airport, both on arrival and departure. On the other hand, the riad has a terrace at the top where there is live music, creating a very pleasant atmosphere, and also ends at a suitable time, so it is not bothersome to rest. No doubt I would repeat the experience, it is next to the square Excellent service and location

We stayed 4 nights with friends in this riad ideally located, just a few minutes from Jemaa el-Fna Square. Good value for money. Room 4 beds, clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. It was a bit cool but extra blankets were available and Zizou, our host, kindly lent us a radiator for the duration of our stay. Zizou was really at the top: always smiling, very helpful and accommodating (organizing breakfast to go, airport transfers, advice...). All the staff are very friendly and the rooms are cleaned every day. Thanks to the whole team, we feel good here! ☺️ Breakfast included that fits well to the stomach (msemen, semolina patty, scrambled eggs, bread, honey jam, orange juice, mint tea). Nice Rooftop with restaurant. There are concerts in the evening but it does not end too late so it does not bother to sleep. Note: we had already booked our excursions before arriving, but the riad also offers some. To summarize: very good address in Marrakech, we recommend! 😊
