Riad Aliya

We stayed at Riad Aliya as a family, and I can honestly say it was one of the best places we've ever stayed. If you're looking for a genuine Moroccan experience rather than a standard hotel, this is the place to book. The riad itself is absolutely beautiful – peaceful, spotless, and full of character. After spending the day exploring the busy streets of Marrakech, it was the perfect place to come back to and relax. We were so glad we chose a riad over a hotel as it felt much more authentic. The staff are what really make this place special. Abdullah was brilliant from start to finish. He couldn't do enough for us and was always happy to help with anything we needed. Even though his English was limited and my Arabic was almost non-existent, we somehow always managed to understand each other! He genuinely cared that we had a great stay, and his kindness didn't go unnoticed. I also have to give a huge thank you to Sayedda. She was simply amazing. We didn't speak each other's language at all, but somehow she made us feel like family. She was always smiling, always checking that we were okay, and looked after us with so much warmth and kindness. She's one of those people who leaves a lasting impression, and she's an absolute credit to the riad. The location is also ideal. There are plenty of local shops and places to eat just a few minutes' walk away, and the main souks are only about 15 minutes on foot, so everything is within easy reach. Before visiting Marrakech, I'd heard a lot of negative stories, so I was a bit sceptical. But honestly, our experience was completely different. Everyone we met was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Yes, you need to keep your wits about you in the souks and be prepared to haggle, but that's all part of the fun and the culture. Thank you to everyone at Riad Aliya for making our family holiday so special. We made some amazing memories and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. If you're thinking of booking, don't hesitate—you won't regret it.

Stayed here as a group of six in December and had a pleasant stay overall. The riad was easy to find using Google Maps from where the taxis dropped us off. Each room was decorated differently, giving it its own unique character. The breakfast was simple but enjoyable. The shower heads and air conditioning in some of the rooms could do with an upgrade, but everything was clean and comfortable. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming, but Abdullah's service was exceptional. He consistently went above and beyond to help us throughout our stay. Thank you, Abdullah!

A Riad forgot dirty ..the rooms are not at all like the site pictures .. very small dark damp discolored curtains no storage just a small portico with 3 coat racks. And nothing else .. very bad smells..breakfast to forget very dirty unsanitary kitchen ..forgot..
