Riad Dar Foundouk & spa

From the very first moment, our experience at the **Riad Dar Foundouk & Spa** was excellent. Upon arrival, Karim welcomed us with great kindness and offered us a delicious coffee, which we appreciated after the trip. The Riad is really beautiful inside, with very well-maintained traditional decor and impeccably clean facilities. Our room was on the ground floor, which made the temperature very pleasant and stable; even with more than 40 °C outside, we did not need to turn on the air conditioning during the 4 days we stayed. Shortly after settling in, we met Hassan, the owner of the Riad. He explained in detail all the activities available both inside and outside the accommodation: desert excursions, quad biking, camel rides, special dinners, and more. Additionally, he provided us with a printed tourist map of Marrakech and marked a perfect route to make the most of our 4 days in the city. Our stay coincided with the grand week of **Eid al-Adha**, which allowed us to experience their culture and traditions up close. It was an unforgettable experience. After this trip, we are absolutely certain that we will return to Marrakech after the summer, and everything indicates that we will stay at this same Riad again. This time we will be five, because we want my siblings-in-law to experience the same pleasant experience that we had. A cozy, clean, well-located Riad with an exceptional team. Totally recommended.

The rooms are spacious, the bedding comfortable and the bathrooms, certainly not new, but with a large shower. They are decorated in a Moroccan style. Breakfast is sufficient with patties and/or pastries and/or pancakes and breads, butter, jams, honey,... We tried the hammam and massages with the “Moroccan ritual” which was a very beautiful discovery. On the other hand, the pool is just a pool but the photos do not deceive. If you need anything, do not hesitate, the staff is at your disposal. Only downside, the price of airport transfer /riad more expensive than what is advertised on their website... I will go back without any problem!

A stay of 3 nights in this Riad which is far from a 4 neither 3 nor 2 stars , if the staff was pleasant the room and the bathroom is dilapidated and not very clean at ground level, just a trickle of water to shower. Breakfast very succinct and especially it must be said the day before what time we have lunch! the TV did not work and the answer was every day "maybe tomorrow" in chala » in short frankly disappointed with this Riad which is on the other hand well located.
