Riad L'Orange Bleue

Lovely Riad in Marrakesh in walking distance to local Mosque and taxi drop off point outside. Similarly short walk to the shops & all amenities. Narrow, lit alleyway to the Riad so first time was awkward to find. Mustapha the host was attentive & very kind and helpful - a real gentleman. The place is immaculately clean and there is a real pride in keeping it that way by all the staff. The rooms are medium sized but perfectly adequate. Bathroom / shower / toilet etc - no replacement of towels during our 3 x night stay and they don’t dry in the bathroom day to day. Breakfast lovely with flexible timings if trips arranged. Upstairs terrace with tortoise! and sun loungers / hot tub - lovely oasis.

From the moment we arrived in Marrakesh airport we were treated to 5 star service. A taxi waited fir us and brought us to a mosque near the Riad. Mustapha met us there and brought us to our place of stay. The Riad was an oasis in the Medina. It was quiet, immaculate and very Moroccan. We ate there 2 evenings. Excellent food. Any help, advice, taxis, reservations, even for a Spa, that we wanted were done for us. The breakfasts were wonderful, fresh fruit, yoghurt, breads and pancakes. We could also have eggs, omelettes etc, but honestly we had more than enough with fruit and breads. Mustapha spent the first evening showing us around so we would 'not get lost'. He also sat down with us and went over the map showing us where to find the places of interest. The Riad was very central to everywhere..... you can walk everywhere. We were there 5 nights. Everyone and everything was wonderful. We were looked after with 5 star treatment. Mustapha 1 and Mustapha 2 were more like friends than just hosts. Also a big thank you to Rachida and Mahma for taking care of our room and needs during each day. I could go on forever.....but if you want the perfect Riad, perfect hosts and break, stay at the Riad L'Orange Bleue in Marrakesh.

Mustafa was brilliant, made us feel right at home. Rooms were nice, rooftop terrace was nice to catch sun and hop in the hot tub - was really impressed with the food too!
