Riad Zarka

DO NOT BOOK THIS RIAD - NOT EXAGGERATING - READ BELOW ! Do not go to Riad Zarka in Marrakech unless you want to expose yourself to the risk of losing your accommodation and only realizing it when you're at their door at 7 pm on a Sunday, leaving you to find another accommodation at night. That's what happened to me and my friends: we had booked 2 rooms through a Travel Agency from Sunday to Thursday. We arrived at the property and rang the bell as well as knocked on the door multiple times for multiple minutes. No one answered. A neighbor hanging out in the alley who saw us struggling offered his help and told us he was going to call the owner of the property. According to the neighbor, the owner said that "there were no bookings" that day. We had e-mail proof of the bookings and had paid but the owner didn't contact us nor was there any way to contact them. Our travel agent also doesn't know what the hell happened. We weren't warned. We also learned that this exact same thing happened to at least one other couple (see comment on the Booking page of this Riad, by "Ruben" from Argentina, published on september 12th 2026).

Horrible experience, I had a confirmed reservation from the 13/9, upon arriving at the place at 9 PM, the door was closed, we waited, then another couple arrived and we were there until 11 PM until staff from a nearby hotel helped us because they saw us in a crisis of not knowing what to do and with many problems communicating, and at 1 AM we were able to enter another hotel. The next day in the afternoon we received an email apologizing, saying that the hotel was undergoing renovations

Fedwa and Amine were amazing , always taking care of us. From reception to departure, this family experience will remain a great memory. The meals, on site, were excellent. The riad is located 2 minutes from the souk and 5 minutes from the square. A very nice place and an extraordinary human encounter. I recommend this very good address.
