Rial Elsagaya

This riad is more expensive than many others in the area and I assumed that this was due to having a pool (as stated in the description). Unfortunately the pool is merely decorative. The riad featured a shabby entrance with sad, old furniture. The top of the internal courtyard was covered by a plastic sheet so no view of the sky. The terrace featured a number of broken outdoor furniture items and the soft furnishing were discoloured and dirty. The room was ok but not the cleanest. No bottled water, as advertised. The shower was an experience, virtually no water pressure and a trickle of water. No hairdryer. I was awaken early in the morning the person on duty was talking loudly and this echoed round the courtyard. Breakfast was a sad affair with lukewarm weak coffee and cold bread. The orange juice was bright orange and not nice. No yogurt or any extras. All in all 1 am extremely disappointed and felt conned by the photos online.

Amazing service and very good breakfast. Everyone working at the place is pleasant and willing to accommodate our requests so I felt very goo staying at the hotel. I also liked interior and decorations at the place. Very Instagram friendly. The biggest disadvantage of this place is noise from the street. Motorbikes are passing literally under your windows. It was hard for me to sleep properly, even with ear plugs. If you are a light sleeper, such as me, I recommend to choose a different area of the city for your stay.

With great regret and anger we have just left Riad El Sagaya. Unfortunately in this Riad were stolen the AirPods of my girlfriend worth 150 €. They were in an inside pocket of a backpack left in the room at all times. Once we asked the owners and the cleaning ladies we were told that they had not taken them, that they had only tidied up our clothes and our luggage (which was already wrong at the start, you do not touch the guests' things, but you only fix the room). They also asked if we wanted to report the fact to the police, but we did not call her as it was useless now. The last headphone detection reported by the phone app says that they were opened at 14:44 on 29/12/24 there at the Riad, while we were visiting the whole majorelle complex at the time. There was no gesture of compensation. Don't come to this Riad if you want to go home with all your things. Also, not recommended for bath conditions, without parturition and in poor condition. I attach photos of everything. We are sorry, because on the surface they have always been kind and helpful with us. They seemed like honest people.
