Tichka

SCAM! I don’t know why love holidays and other sites are still advertising this hotel. It hasn’t been operating for over a year and is derelict. We were originally booked here, but our hotel booking was changed at the last minute. DO NOT BOOK!!!

My husband booked this hotel in a package for our Honeymoon...when we arrived at the hotel and were ushered to the hotel across the road. It was 10.30 pm and we were informed that hotel Tichka's bookings had been reallocated to them as the hotel has been closed for a good few months to a year! My husband had made such an effort to book this via love holidays (who are also at fault) and was absolutely devestated that this was happening. He paid for a 5 star service with cars, lush hotel views and only the best this hotel had to offer.. Only to discover it was all a scam! We were taken to a room which was horrible and we insisted we could not stay here. We asked for a refund for the room and the hotel had no idea where our payment was gone. They insisted that hotel Tichka had taken the payment. We then walked across the road to hotel Tichka and it was completely ABANDONED! there was not a soul in site. The hotel main door was open and inside was like a scene from a horror movie. We ultimately had to find another hotel at midnight, on the first day of our honeymoon and spend extra for another accommodation. LOVE HOLIDAYS and this hotel is still operating online as of the hotel is open. IT IS NOT. DO NOT BOOK!

I visit Marrakech alot so have a lot of positive (and negative) experience with hotels and other accommodation... I can honestly say this is the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in. Check In was about 4 hours long Room wasn't cleaned and new towels weren't offered throughout our stay TV, Safe, AC, Wifi (that they advertised) did not work upon sending a technician to the room, the Wifi worked and nothing else No rail in the wardrobe - asked for this to be sorted no go Side room with a balcony that overlooked a derelict building,,, locals using the hotel for the weekend were put next to us which is great but they came in at 3/4am and were very loud Pillows and bedding were basically non existent - lumpy pillow, rock hard bed, rags for bedding would be better sleeping on the floor Balcony peeling, no furniture on balcony Bar staff tried charging us for drinks we didn't have Pool area is awful. Overgrown grass, dirty cold pool water, broken furniture Overall was a negative experience in this hotel that was only made better by the fact we were in Marrakech which is one of the greatest cities in the world AND the fact the hotel across the road is a little better and you can go and sit by their swimming pool and enjoy their facilities. Basic tip for anyone thinking of booking this hotel.... just spend a little extra money and head somewhere else.
