I do not recommend this hotel for families. Upon arrival, I was given a room with a very strong cigarette smell. Despite several requests, I was not offered another room until the third day. The staff claimed that all rooms were smoking rooms and even suggested that I contact the tourism authorities. I found the way my complaint was handled to be disrespectful and unprofessional, with little concern for guest satisfaction.

I am currently staying at Kenzi Solazur in Tangier, and I have to say this has been the most disappointing hotel experience I’ve had. I’ve visited this hotel before with my sister and brother-in-law. As my brother-in-law stays here regularly, we’ve always experienced friendly staff, warm welcomes, and excellent service. Unfortunately, this visit has been completely different. This is my first time bringing my mum and aunt here, and I genuinely regret recommending this hotel to them. Before arriving, I was told by email that an early check-in would be available. We arrived at 10:00 a.m. but weren’t checked into our room until around 3:00 p.m. During those five hours, we had to repeatedly ask reception for updates before anything happened. What made the experience even more frustrating was watching multiple guests who arrived after us get checked in before we were. We were among the last people to receive our room. When we were finally served, there was no warm welcome, no smile, and no friendliness from the reception staff. It felt like we were an inconvenience rather than valued guests. The room itself is beautiful, but when we entered it, there were no towels, no bottled water, no toilet paper, and no kettle. We were simply told to contact housekeeping. After waiting five hours for a room, I expected it to be fully prepared and ready for guests. Sadly, the customer service throughout this stay has been disappointing. The staff have come across as rude and uninterested, which is a complete contrast to the welcoming atmosphere I experienced on previous visits. The hotel says that if you have any issues, you should speak to the staff, but in my experience, nothing has been resolved despite raising concerns. I’m still here for another four days, so I genuinely hope things improve. However, based on my experience so far, I would not recommend this hotel, and unless there is a significant change in the service, this will be my last stay here. Our experience at Kenzi Solazur has continued to get worse. After the initial issues we encountered, we called the front desk multiple times requesting something as basic as an iron and bottled water. Despite repeated calls, our requests were simply ignored. It’s incredibly frustrating to have to chase the staff for basic amenities that should be provided promptly by any hotel. The lack of responsiveness and customer service has been very disappointing. Guests should not have to make repeated requests for essential items only to be ignored. Unfortunately, this stay has fallen far below our expectations, and I cannot recommend this hotel based on our experience.

I stayed 5 nights (6 days) at the Kenzi Solazur Hotel in Tangier in June, and this experience was extremely disappointing. The value for money is very poor and numerous malfunctions deserve to be reported. Uncontrolled access and incomprehensible policy The pool was open to people outside the hotel for a fee, with rates for adults and children, like a simple public pool. As a result, many non-residents occupied the premises, to the detriment of hotel guests who, for their part, pay a high price for their stay. The constant shouting and noise from these visitors made any moment of relaxation impossible. Such a policy is unacceptable for an establishment of this standing. Inappropriate behavior tolerated The atmosphere around the pool was particularly shocking. Some couples, clearly under the influence of alcohol, engaged in very inappropriate and intimate displays of affection, in the middle of the day, in front of families, children, and elderly people. At no point did management intervene. It seemed that, as long as these people were consuming alcohol, everything was tolerated. This says a lot about the establishment's priorities. Bar frequented by outsiders When going to the bar with my family, I noticed that non-residents had free access to it. I also observed the presence of people there whose behavior clearly suggested that they were engaging in prostitution. Here again, no one seemed to be concerned about it. Shocked by this situation, I immediately left the premises in order to spare my family this spectacle. The general impression is that only money matters, without any consideration for the hotel's clientele. Rooms and cleanliness The rooms are very average and the cleaning is sloppy. The hygiene leaves something to be desired and the towel management is simply shameful. Disastrous reservation management The reservations department is practically unreachable. When you finally manage to reach someone, the information provided is contradictory or incorrect. The staff is often aggressive, loud, and clearly incompetent. Despite having made a reservation several months in advance, we had to wait several hours before getting a standard room, which was very far from the expectations one might have for a hotel of this category. Dining The food was mediocre, of very poor quality, and well below the level expected for an establishment of this standing. Conclusion Throughout this stay, I had the feeling that profitability was systematically prioritized over comfort, safety, and respect for the guests. Families looking for a quiet, secure environment worthy of a real hotel should avoid this establishment. For my part, I absolutely do not recommend it for families with children.
