Conqueror Resort

People were wonderful. Service excellent. The room was clean and the water hot. It was cool but they had a heated blanket if you wanted. Bed was comfortable but pillows not. The grounds were pretty. Breakfast was good. The pool water looked dirty. Close to Pindaya Caves.

We stayed for two nights during the week of the villages yearly festival which is adjacent to the resort. It was great to have been able to experience this and walk through with our guide but be warned, the music is played all through the night. We woke at 6am and could still here music playing. It was difficult to fall asleep but once asleep we were fine as we’d been for a long trek that day. We were in one of the named chalets away from the main reception and it was lovely. Well maintained, clean and included a bath & separate shower. Although the shower wasn’t very powerful. As these were wooden chalets it was cold at night & early morning so we were pleased to have the electric under blanket and dressing gowns. We only ate breakfast at the hotel but as there were only a few guests (about 12-14) the food was served freshly cooked and not buffet style. We had choice of how the egg was cooked, plus pancakes, fruit, toast and juice & tea/coffee. For dinner we ate at the Green Tea Restaurant about a 10 minute walk from the hotel, which I’ll review separately. After eating we had a drink at the hotel bar which was reasonably priced, 4000 Kyat for a large beer, 3000 for Cointreau or Jack Daniels. Both were large measures. The Wi-fi was good in the bar, restaurant and chalets but that may‘ve been because there weren’t many guests during our visit. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is just a big joke .... the place looks beautiful with the garden, but, with a closer look, you can see that what's supposed to be water foutains is just dirty water in a hole with some flowers, a lot of things looks like their not finished (wooden plank missing, door lock nearly broken, ...) The rooms are freaking cold in the night and the bathroom is the freezer of the hotel ... And the restaurant, well, between the cat playing under the tables and the dog sitting in the entrance of the kitchen, I don't really know what to decide ... this is without the money that was missing from our bags (seen too late to be told) ... And with 2 facebook pages, one with only their publications and no possibility to give any rate, you know there's something wrong ... caught to be taught ...
