I have stayed in many different hotels around the world, and Kathmandu Guest House is one of the very best! It is a serene oasis in the heart of Thamel.
I felt welcome from the first arrival. My room was lovely, cleaned well every day and with quiet AC.
Breakfast was included and I had delicious omelette, fresh fruit, Nepalese specialties and fresh bread every day.
All the staff were friendly and helpful, assisting me in getting taxis or motorbike taxis every day, and answering any query. I felt very at home!
The compound itself is just delightful with a beautiful garden at the centre where you can relax at any time. There’s a spa, small but well equipped gym, yoga studio with classes every day, tattoo studio, gift shops and the lovely Museum of Nepali Art on site too.
There are hundreds of restaurants, bars, shops and places to see within close walking distance.
10/10 wonderful stay!
