Bastion Hotel Nijmegen

Pros: It was very clean, you slept well in the room to the back. The rest was unfortunately worse than expected, the price-performance ratio was not right. It was not pointed out on arrival that you have to request room service. Of course, we assumed the price we paid. So we had no clean towels in the evening after a long day of sightseeing. We had to use ours as a doormat in the bathroom, there were none with a walk-in shower. A particular disappointment was the breakfast. Although there is a selection of sausage and cheese, only half of the cheese was completely dried and corrugated. He looked like the day before (at least). The croissants had landed out of the bag without baking them on the buffet. The most annoying thing was that on both days the scrambled eggs "ran out", the hard-boiled eggs from the heat container were cold. That can happen, two days in a row it makes a different impression. Fruit salad was also only available until a certain point, we still saw the bowls of other guests who came earlier. For us, and other late risers, there were still remnants of apple and grape. (One hour before the end of breakfast time) The coffee was good, which is not enough for the price.

Very bad breakfast this is from 7:00 to 9:00 but 8:00 is all as good as on! And the quality is very underwhelming...hard edges on the slices of cheese dried out sausage, drying rolls etc. We will skip this hotel in future!

Location is not exactly inspiring, but of secondary importance to me. Room neat, spacious, clean, very spacious bathroom, good beds. Covered parking on site also fine. Service restaurant/bar far below par. Had to be in English, but yes, if you still don't know what gin is then it gets difficult.In the morning when I checked out I wanted to pay for dinner, but that was already done. "You have pinned sir." After a lot of hassle, it finally surfaced that it had been charged to my credit card without my permission or knowledge. The same day I invoked my right to be forgotten, because the latter became too grumpy for me.
