Amadeus Hotel

Don't spend the night here! One night in room 2 e verd on market side. Very noisy (single glass) of market (also early in the morning) and adjoining room, (could follow conversations) dirt including carpet (also of hallway and stairs) and very poorly maintained. Ragged! Old itch. Breakfast comes through with it. Service friendly.

Avoid this hotel until health and safety issues are resolved. We stayed one night on Monday 27th April Kings Day We had no warning that the ground level restaurant was going to be used as a disco for Kings Day celebrations . My room ,14 looked over the back of the hotel on the first floor. The flat roof was littered with old furniture and was a fire escape route ( see photo) Both fire exits were propped open when i went to my room mid afternoon on 27th. I found Kings Day party goers ,under the influence of alcohol and smoking , using the staff toilets next to my room ( see photos). I reported to a member of staff on duty and requested to swap rooms.Unfortunately i was told the hotel was fully booked . The member of staff witnessed the "set up "and closed the firedoors.She could not explain who was opening the firedoors .However this had to be someone with access to the bedrooms ? For the rest of the afternoon and evening the firedoors were being opened from the inside ,propped open and party goers using this entry/ exit to use the staff toilets . By 9.15 i had to vacate the room due to lack of security and the fire risk created. I had to share my friends room at the front on the second floor which was directly above the diso speakers. The disco music was finally turned off at 11pm. Room 14 bathroom is in bad need of modernisation . Hot water tap set at too high a temperature and separate to cold tap in shower . High risk of burns . I reported all of the above to the member of staff serving breakfast also Booking.com

We are two older women who had single rooms and stayed for 3 nights in September 2025. It's an awful hotel with disgusting rooms and very uncomfortable beds with musty smelling bedding. It's old and very much in need of refurbishing. There was pigeon poop on the curtain. It looked like black mold on the walls. It had sticky floors and a bad bathroom with double swinging doors that makes in and out of the bathroom difficult. There's no front desk for any help and very irregular staffing. No one is there after 10 at night or in the morning. We were locked in the morning we needed to leave for the airport. They knew we were leaving at 8 but due to staffing issues and no ones in charge no one was there at 8. Breakfast starts at 8 but no one came. It was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. It's a great location right on the main square in Harlem so its a real shame that it's so abhorrent. It was just an awful experience. Since we prepaid we couldn't leave and go elsewhere or we definately would have. I have honestly never stayed in such a disgusting hotel. Do not book.
