Budget Hotel Marnix City Centre

It was the cheapest hotel i could find around Amsterdam, about AUD 70 per night compared to AUD 200 per night. However, I would expect some basic clean toilet with shampoo. But the place is dirty, rats running around the lobby and there is absolute nothing in the toilet and the room is cold. Worst nightmare I had.

People were friendly. Hotel was clean and the location was closer to the city. Furniture was okay but could be better. The overall environment was good and friendly. The only problem was that sometimes it was noisy.

It's a noisy location, with street noise entering the room undampened. It is old, worn down place and not very clean either. The entery door is old and unfitted, so a lot of times it does not work and you can't get in, then when it does unlock it sticks and is very noisy to open and close, which can wake up other sleeping guest if somebody comes home late after a night out on the town and can't get in!
