Do not stay here. I had a booking that was cancelled on the day of arrival, due to ‘renovations’. They said I had to request a refund, despite them cancelling, via the company you booked it. I booked directly with them, no cancellation option on the website. Called them, guy on the phone said he wasn’t management and couldn’t help. Sent numerous emails, no replies. Ended up going to the hotel while I was in Amsterdam, half the hotel was closed due to Asbestos! Explained situation to a really nice guy at the front desk, and it took me nearly an hour just to them to send an email saying they would refund me. Refund hasn’t been actioned and still waiting for over €700 to come back to me. Cowboys the lot of them. We stayed at St Christopher’s Inn instead and it was great

We stayed at the hotel for three days over Christmas and had a quite pleasant stay. The hotel appears rather worn, with loose door handles and hinges, etc. — and if you are looking for polished luxury, this is not the right place. But if, like us, you simply want a clean bed to sleep in, a warm shower, and a location that makes it super easy to access the big-city life Amsterdam has to offer, then the hotel is perfect. Considering the location, there was not much noise. It might be different in summer with open windows, etc. You should be prepared to have two or three coffeeshops as your nearest neighbors. The staff are relaxed. There is daily housekeeping if you want it. The hotel does not have a lounge area, restaurant, or anything similar - but there is free coffee available in the lobby. We were allowed to leave our luggage in the lobby from check-out until 6:00 pm, as our flight didn’t depart until the evening. All in all, a positive experience for us.

I went to this hotel with my friends during the interrail and the location is very comfortable: only 10 minutes from the station and less than 10 minutes from the main square. Although it is next to the red light district, we did not encounter any Mood during our stay. They allowed us to store the backpacks at the reception desk, although it had to be kept in mind that they were on view, so anyone could access them. The rooms are private and clean, with bathroom and shower in separate rooms and two towels included. The hotel is quite old and could use a renovation. Also, it is not at all accessible: it has no elevator and the stairs are very steep, which can be a problem for people with reduced mobility or heavy luggage. In short, a practical hotel for its location, clean and economical, but with old facilities and accessibility limitations.
