Fabulous hotel! Delightful, helpful staff. Excellent location. Near great restaurants, Central Station. We loved it!

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights at the end of a 3-week trip — and had an absolutely excellent experience. The service was top notch: checkin was welcoming, fast and helpful; water, coffee and tea were replenished immediately; and staff were eager to help us make a reservation at a restaurant in another hotel. The room was spotless and well-equipped. The location is perfect for sightseeing across Amsterdam, while also offering a much-needed calm and relaxing oasis from the hustle outside. The onsite bar, Super Lyan, quickly became one of our most favorite cocktail bars ever. The drinks were excellent (interesting and well balanced) and the food shockingly good. And the bar staff were just fantastic - fast, friendly and knowledgeable. We would happily stay here whenever we’re back in Amsterdam!

This was my fourth stay at Kimpton De Witt and I’ve visited as a couple, with friends and, more recently, as a family with our daughter. It’s somewhere I keep coming back to, which probably says more than any star rating could. Has every stay been perfect? No. We’ve had the odd hiccup with things like housekeeping but they’ve always been minor and have never detracted from the overall experience. The location is hard to beat for exploring Amsterdam, the rooms are comfortable, the staff are friendly, breakfast is good and the Social Hour is a lovely touch after a day wandering around the city. A special mention has to go to Super Lyan, which remains one of my favourite hotel bars anywhere in the world. Whether you’re staying at the hotel or just looking for a great cocktail, it’s well worth a visit. I’m sure we’ll be back again.
