Dikker & Thijs Fenice Hotel

The view was great but there was very limited bell service. We had to carry our heavy luggage down several steps which was not so easy. If we go to Amsterdam again, I would stay somewhere with more services to guests.

I highly recommend the Dikker & Thijs Hotel in Amsterdam. A friend and I checked in for five nights in June. Each of us loved our rooms. The mattresses were supremely comfortable, the bathrooms well appointed, and the air conditioning (there was a heat wave) beyond par. The daily breakfast table was loaded with options European style, and the kitchen also served coffee beverages and eggs to order (with bacon available on request). The staff was always helpful with recommendations for places to go and to eat. It was only a 10-minute walk to the museum district, and the tram was right outside the door. We would definitely stay here again on a trip to Amsterdam!

This is an excellent hotel in a terrific location. Our family of five (parents, two sons and daughter in law) stayed in three rooms for six nights. The rooms are well appointed and spacious. Breakfast is fantastic —lots of choices. Guest service is outstanding. We loved staying here and highly recommend it.
