Hampshire Inn Landgoed Stakenberg

Hotel Stakenberg is in a fantastic location, in the middle of forests where you can cycle and walk very well. The hotel is very dated. Furniture worn and old, carpeting with lots of stains and damage, rooms small with very small shower, washbasin in room, two cardboard cups that you have to do with for 4 days, no hair dryer, good bed, in short appearance it seems a lot but inside worn, even the pool billiards is worn. Staff friendly, restaurant reasonably good.

The hotel is in outdated condition, very hot in the rooms, very noisy and not clean, the dust clouds were in corners and on the closet. Plenty of storage space for things and reasonable beds. There is a menu offered in restaurant for which you pay a fixed amount, but it is not told that everything is charged extra separately and is not part of the menu. This way you are fooled because you are under the impression that you are getting a whole menu of 3 courses. Also the cost of the restaurant is above average and is really not worth it! A small cheesecake of 3 bites for 9,25 €?? they do not work with a menu so in our eyes a form of fraud because you see no prices in advance and so no menu paid in advance only the main course without being told.....oh and make sure you speak / understand English, Dutch speaking staff is probably too expensive A warned human counts for two!
