Hotel Kooyk

Room smelled heavy of mold. Was bizarrely hot. Window doesn't open and close properly. Mold on the walls, floor broken. Towels and bed linen smelled fresh. Staff was friendly and helpful

If you want to have a good stay in Amsterdam, this is not the hotel to choose. The rooms are not at all like in the listing. The hotel is in very bad condition. Do not expect to have AC; they give you (with zero enthusiasm) a small, disgusting fan that makes a horrible noise. They do not change your towels; they fold them up damp. AVOID AT ALL COSTS and if you go through travel agencies, the prices are tripled. Only the location is good.

Disgusting hotel! Our room was unacceptable and dirty! The sheets seem to be clean, but my duvet was dirty, not changed out and that is what you use to cover yourself. The mattresses, two, were not encased nor protected as they were filthy, stained. Our sink in the room had hair in it, the mirror was smeared/streaked with I don't know what. Our designated bathroom was used prior as it had feces stains in it. Anyone could use our bathroom, it was not locked. The person staying beside us warned us of bedbugs and this was her second room. I personally did not find signs of bedbugs on our bedding.
