WestCord Art Hotel Amsterdam 3*

Hotel allowed us to check in 3 hours early as our room was ready for no extra charge. Nice being handed a warm stroopwaffel each as a welcome before we headed to our room. Hotel very clean, room decent size and having aircon that doesn't rely on a room key to be left in a slot was good. There for 3 nights so didn't require room cleaning while we were there but on passing the cleaner in the hallway they asked if we required anything so asked for more coffee for the included coffee machine. Hotel is in a great location, approximately 10 minutes into Central Station by the number 22 bus, the unlimited travel card we bought was worth it, can jump on and off all buses and trams for 3 days, used it lots. We did walk into centre once and it was a nice walk, plenty of shops and restaurants on the way. Never used the restaurant but looked nice. Luggage was stored free of charge after check out and we got given a nice keepsake keyring from the hotel. First time in Amsterdam but would definitely come back and would definitely stay at this hotel again

Clean cosy and very welcoming

We went there for a weekend trip; the room is relatively small but nice. Luckily, we had a balcony, which was good. The breakfast is great. However, at dinner, we were asked very late, only after 20 minutes, what we wanted to drink, and that was only after calling someone over; otherwise, we probably would have sat there longer. Furthermore, we were only given one voucher for dinner at the front desk upon arrival, even though we were entitled to two with the package we had booked... but after that experience, we didn't want to eat there again anyway. We also had 2 lunch packages included, and on the first day, we were only given a breakfast package with sandwiches, just with cheese, without butter, without anything else; it was very dry. In return, the next day, after several attempts, we got the lunch package, and this time the sandwiches were well-filled with butter, etc. All in all, it was okay, and without the small incidents, it would have been really good, but unfortunately, these things have now led to my 3-star rating.
