I was quite worried about going here after reading some of the reviews on here but I can honestly say it was amazing!
We stayed in room number 1310 on the 13th floor corner room. The view was beautiful especially on a lovely sunny day. It was a tad noisy due to the traffic but only if you have the window open. The room has everything you need including a mini fridge. The bed was so comfy with lovey duck Down pillows and quilt, bathroom was huge and was fully stocked with toiletries
Check in was quick and simple. All the staff at this hotel were very kind and polite especially the lady in the bar area in the morning she was so kind and polite and helped us plan our day trip to Amsterdam. There is also a mini shop next to reception selling snacks, drinks and essentials like paracetamol.
The train station is right outside the hotel door which takes you straight to central station in around 5/10 mins.
If you want to go shopping the shops are about 20 minute walk lots of designer and high street shops. Also lovely restaurant we ate in called Dinos.
If you’re going for the coffee shops then beware that there are none you can sit in and smoke they only sell to take away.
We also went on a boat trip around the harbour which was really cheap and defo worth doing
Overall I would say this hotel was 10/10 would defo return in the future thanks to all the staff at the doubletree Hilton we had a great time.
