Paleis Hotel

I had a single room. This was quiet in the backyard. Fine bed, practical bathroom, spotless, fine temperature to regulate, TV with all the trimmings but also good to operate. Near the best shops, the Lange Voorhout and the Mauritshuis . Very friendly staff. Parking space

Wonderful place to stay in the heart of downtown. The hotel is nicely decorated with warm materials and colours. It is located in a cozy street with shops and restaurants around the corner from Palace Noordeinde .On the ground floor cozy common areas to sit and in the morning you will find breakfast here. During the day you can tap flavored water or have a snack here. It is a wonderfully quiet place to sit down after visiting the busy city centre. Everything regarding check-in or check-out or access to the hotel is automated and works with digital keys. We did meet a very friendly female manager for any info or a warm welcome but it is not necessary. It was a bit cumbersome to receive info and keys via mail and 2 what’s app accounts, this could probably be more efficient but it worked fine. The room was well thought out with beautiful materials and everything you need. Delicious care products on the bathroom and a personal handwritten welcome was waiting. The hotel is definitely recommended and the service is good with an eye for details. For an early arrival, the luggage could be locked away and umbrellas were available for use during a shower.

The most important thing first: There is no reception or staff on site. You get a code and can virtually open the door and also check in. The room was nice (306) with a view of the palace. What we liked less was that it was so sound-permeable. We understood (almost) everything from the room across the hall and next door... We had breakfast on site. However, it is not recommended and we would not take it again. Very little selection. There is a great café on the street about 40m away. Better to go there. The service at checkout was absolutely abysmal. The young gentleman was unfriendly and absolutely not service-oriented. When it is more important to pointlessly carry things around and put them away than to take care of guests "live"....
