Worldhotel Bel Air The Hague

I had reserved a De Luxe room with king size bed. There was no room available at check-in. This was before, too. Normally in other hotels you will already receive a room number. Late in the evening we return we get a regular room with 2 twin beds. Further at breakfast the orange juice was on and no air conditioning in the room and breakfast room. I had, for the name, too high expectations.

Drab, soulless and ‘cheap’ best describes this hotel. A room where all the expensive went on the television and not the towels, toiletries and kettle. Hangers so brittle that don’t hold clothes. A hand held shower and miniature bath space designed for a 4 foot tall female, a toilet so squashed into a space that standing only is your option if you’re over 5 foot tall. Grey curtains to make your work trip even less glamorous. Breakfast, paper napkins, machine coffee and scrambles eggs so lumpy you can barely pick up and small portion,

Just to make a statement, this is Mariotte. That alone means high class accommodation and service. We were not disappointed. The hotel is within easy walking distance to almost everything, e.g. 25 min down to the centre/beach....
